CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE
Here at Riverside Church we want to invest in our children and young people to help them be closer to God and become the best they can be. We are keen that they feel very much part of our church family!
KIDS AT RIVERSIDE
CRECHE 0-3 years
Our creche is a safe and fun space with a dedicated volunteer on hand each week to welcome your little ones and care for them during the service. Parents/carers are welcome to stay in the creche is their child is unsettled and they will still be able to see and hear what is happening in the service via a video link.
EXPLORERS 3-12 years
Our Explorers programme is run by a team of dedicated leaders who bring the bible to life each week through interactive stories, songs, crafts and games. At Explorers the kids can see that the Bible is alive and exciting and they have a God who loves them.
Snack is provided.
We have 2 groups for children at Riverside Explorers.
Juniors for nursery to Primary 3
Seniors for Primary 4-7
SUMMER CLUB
This year the MegaMakers Summer Club will take place from Monday 19th to Friday 23rd June each evening, 6pm-8pm, in the Church Centre. We will be looking at the vastness of God's love through Matthew's Gospel, using science and technology as our theme. There will be lots of construction, Lego, experiments and inflatables! To register you child (ages 4-12) speak to Sara.
YOUTH AT RIVERSIDE
YF
Our Youth Fellowship meets every Sunday night from 6.30pm-8pm and is for anyone aged S1-S6.
We engage is a variety of activities from looking at God's word together, playing games and going on social trips. YF is a place where we develop strong, long-lasting friendships and grow in our faith together.
SUNDAY MORNINGS
Most of our youth serve within the church on a Sunday morning. From helping at Explorers or Creche, to working the live stream cameras to helping lead worship, they are very much an integral part of the church family.
YOUTH EVENTS
In July, we go to Magnitude! This is a 5 day adventure in the heart of Scotland, designed to enable young people to encounter more of the magnitude of God. It takes place at Lendrick Muir, Kinross, and we go as a group of Ayrshire Churches. Linking with other Christian young people in Ayrshire and building up friendships allows us to unite and live as one for Him.
